About the role
Build partnerships. Strengthen services. Help communities across Gateshead access the support they need.
We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable Advice Services Manager (Community) to build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners and organisations across Gateshead. You will play a central role in our Service Modernisation programme, strengthen outreach partnerships and identify new ways to help people across the borough access effective social welfare advice and support.
The opportunity:
During your first 12 months, you will build your operational knowledge and progressively assume ownership of allocated workstreams while maintaining your relationship-management responsibilities. As your ownership develops, you will take line-management responsibility for the relevant Team Leaders. You will also help develop the wider Team Leader group and drive performance across Integrated Advice Services.
What you will do:
This is a varied and influential role where you will represent the charity across Gateshead, build partnerships that strengthen our community provision and champion programmes such as Advice First Aid. You will bring teams together to deliver projects effectively, encourage innovation and create a one-service culture in which Team Leaders share learning and respond confidently to new challenges. You will also help ensure our services remain inclusive, impactful and sustainable by monitoring workstreams, demonstrating results, supporting effective budget management and contributing to the duty manager rota to maintain strong safeguarding and health and safety standards.
What you will bring:
You will be a dynamic, adaptable and resilient leader who can inspire teams to achieve shared goals and perform confidently through change. You will know how to build meaningful stakeholder relationships, translate strategic plans into effective services and innovation, and successfully deliver multiple workstreams against their requirements. Experience of managing grant-funded services in a charity, non-profit organisation or comparable setting would be an advantage, as would experience of working with people in an advice, guidance or similar support environment.
Why join us?
This is a role for someone who wants to make a difference, challenge the status quo and help create better outcomes for local communities.
Our values are at the heart of how we work;
We put people’s needs first, challenge injustice, embrace change, learn from new ideas and take personal responsibility for delivering the best possible outcomes while making every pound count.
If you are a collaborative leader who can build trusted partnerships, develop people and turn opportunities into stronger community services, we would welcome your application.
