About the role
Outreach Adviser – Fixed Term (1 Year)
Contract: 1 year (likely 1 year extension)
Make a real difference in people’s lives.
We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Outreach Adviser to support asylum seekers and refugees in the community. This vital role provides free advice to people new to the UK, helping them understand their rights and access services.
🔹 What You’ll Do:
Explain how to access healthcare and mental health services
Provide free advice on immigration (IAA Level 1), housing, benefits, debt & more
Build trust with those hesitant to seek help
Work with local partners to offer joined-up support
🔹 What You’ll Need:
Recent advice experience (IAA Level 1 ideal; Citizens Advice experience a plus)
Cultural awareness & empathy
Ability to use interpretation services (e.g., LanguageLine)
A full driving licence and access to your own car
